Wandavision - Alternate Vision Concepts (2019)

Two alternate concepts for how Sword could have rebuilt Vision in Wandavision. The original plan was to have the new Vision have harder-edged, more mechanical muscle forms to reflect both his new aggression and his more mechanical rebuilt nature. While ultimately the original "muscle suit" from The Avengers was retained, the harder-edged facial makeup was incorporated into the new costume.

I also tried a few different variations on more obviously man-made detailing at the chest-plate and gauntlets, as well as variations on the subtle color palette to reflect a more sophisticated version of the monochromatic design from his comic origins.

This version externalized Sword's modifications with visible micro-circuitry in the chestplate and gauntlets. I wanted to retain some amount of damage in the forehead from Thanos's violent removal of the mindstone, so only partially covered it up.

For this one I went with more mechanical design cues in the details, including a hard plate over the forehead damage. The color has a subtle red/green shift in its iridescence as compared to the purple/teal of the final design.
