This is a rare example of photobashing from me. I don't tend to enjoy the process or the final result as much as straight digital painting or 3D, but often you don't have the luxury of time, or, as here, the process is dictated by the project. In this case the entire department was called in for a one-day all-hands-on-deck effort to determine whether a location in the Azores was suitable to stage the Resistance base. We were given location photos and ILM-provided renders of the Blockade Runner to paint over. These two were my best efforts from a half-dozen or so cobbled together in a day.
