The King's Man - Conrad Thwarting Assassination (2018)

My second outing into the Kingsman universe was enormous fun. This keyframe illustrates an important moment in the film, where Conrad Oxford deflects Princip's first assassination attempt by batting away the bomb with an umbrella. The layout for this image was initially laid out in Sketchup by Production Designer Darren Gilford (an accomplished concept designer in his own right.) I then fleshed it out in Photoshop, referencing the actual location and dukal limousine from the fateful historic moment.

The final image. I took pains to match the actual location, uniforms, and the specific car in use during the assassination. Tom Holland was one of Matthew Vaughn's original picks for Conrad, so I painted his likeness.
