Spiderman: No Way Home (2020) - May's Guest at the Shelter

Another key moment from Spiderman: No Way Home, Peter's confrontation with Norman Osborne at May's homeless shelter. I did a number of thumbnails to give director Jon Watts some options of POV and intensity of the scene. I really wanted to capture the contrast between Peter's energy toward Osborne and May's, and I think the final selections conveys it in the most subtle, cinematic way. I also suggested the purple hoodie from the thrift pile May gives Osborne to cover up his Goblin suit, which then becomes the tattered basis of his classic costume.

I also enjoyed putting that one guy with the burger in the back, who seems to be the only one clued in that Spidey's in the house! Bronx residents are so jaded...

This is how I will typically "rough out" a keyframe, with a series of composition thumbnails to establish the POV and mood of the scene. Since these would be shown to the director, I put the extra effort into likenesses to convey the emotion of the moment
